I would guess that they will sell their flash unit to either Hynix. Hynix is likely lusting after it--they already own some of Kioxia, Toshiba's flash unit that is being IPO'd and Hynix isn't selling their stake. They have been trying to build their bona fides with Japan by being a good partner since helping to save Toshiba. If they do manage to buy it, they would become the second largest flash vendor after Samsung.
