This is getting ridiculous.

CDN$ day range is 0.6813 - 0.6870 and now is 0.6820. It drops much more than HK$ (still pegged to USD). The stupid govt better do something, stop telling lies and let its currency making new LOW everyday. Our $ getting less buying power than ever. If a strong dollar will hurt Canada's export then US is probably dead now. A weak yen never really help Japan either. When the fundamental is good, the economic is good. It is that simple!

Yes, the CDN$ is getting nailed vs. the $US, but versus other currencies it is doing very well.

Cheers,

To all: In the good ol days when currency speculators were less bold, Mulroney's government halted the CDN currency slide by issuing a public statement saying we will not let our currency take attacks by speculators. That was when the top nine speculator's total credit line did not exceed the entire budget of the IMF as they do now.
