Yes, you are correct, I misspoke. To "hit the bid" means to sell. To "take the offer" means to take in or buy stock. What I meant to say was, "Cramer and Vinik are sitting on the bid", meaning they are bidding for stock. That is correct, right?

My mistake-- I will not say it again.

WH, that was really a Freudian slip. You both only thought he meant "hit the ask". If they were selling into the strength, they *were* hitting the bid.
