The real problem is that there are people who obfuscate and misrepresent technological problems and solutions for their own profit. The electrical grid doesn't have to be a nationwide all-knowing super system. Electricity should be priced according to demand using smart meters which can also integrate electric vehicle batteries as both consumers and suppliers, as well as consumer generated power. That way a local area can operate autonomously using its own generation, letting other areas supply or accept excess power. No need to pay rich people off for unnecessary packaging.

And hydrogen is a pie in the sky scam that will only rip off investors and consumers in a worse way than fracking does.
