I think this is essentially what Monty and Morgan had been predicting - a slowdown for a couple of qtrs but a solid future. I don't have a good feel for what the buyback brings to the party but I suspect we are in a holding pattern for another quarter.

If the stock closes at $15.50 tomorrow I will have hit 3 out of 4 targets with a 3.5% variance on backlog. If that's the case, I'm kicking Jay and Brett out and taking over as senior analyst. My first order of business will be to give CYMI a Longterm Accumulate rating.

<<Overall, luke warm report>>

Au contraire. An EXCELLENT report. Done business over expectations. Future business order backlog approaching 2 quarters revenues. $50M share buy-back. Accelerating technological lead over rivals (if any there are). And R & D charges AND THE ASIA THING together expected to ding fye '99 by only 10%. On an issue that's already down 70% from its highs.

This is just terrific news. Simply terrific, IMO.

Regards,

John
