The western nations are bound to be affected sooner ar later. My own feeling is that, the West will only start to slow down in the second half of 1998 and into 1999, as an aftershock from the deflation that is currently taking place in some parts of Asia.

IMO, the liquidity that will be required to be pumped into the 3rd world, to prevent a revolution in those parts of the world, will lead to much higher inflation starting 1999.
