Hi Don,

I've used the Schwab Web Trading for about a year now (used to do Telebroker) & have been pretty happy, other than market makers and option pit boys screwing me. 2-3 minutes on hold is an eternity compared to a 10-20 second screen refresh. Still agonizing when you're chasing a fat one.

<<Thanks for the info. I've looked at Schwab before, the problem with them is the commission will eat you alive if you do a lot of trades and they don't offer direct trading. 2-3 minutes is an eternity when you're trying to hit a moving target. If you've ever listened to music on hold while watching 75 cents disappear on a couple thousand shares of something you're trying to buy or sell, it can be pretty frustrating. What I'm looking for is point and click execution and confirmation.>>

I've had good results with Datek. Fast executions and I've occaisionally traded between the spread. Good news search feature too.
