Well, I guess this extraordinary situation is just cause for me to add another post today, though I did not intend to.

First, elk has been harrassing me. I have only e-mailed him an appropriate amount of times and with appropriate information. My e-mailings clearly weren't harrassment.

Second, my website when firsst started (what, a couple weeks ago for FTEL?) contained one link. It was one the only one I had when I opend the site, and was gotten, here, on the FTEL thread. As soon as I gathered more data, I updated it, and that did not take very long. I also offered to add any information anyone else would provide, and that offer still stands.

Lastly, It is my hope that we can agree to disagee. I feel strongly that I have been just in all that I've done, and that many on this thread are clearly wrong for harrassing me and SI in the manner they have been.

Sincerely

Mr Dryer, Thank you, all I asked for was the protection that any consumer deserves. I have not stated that anyone has violated terms of service, only the law. By taking the appropriate measures, you rectify this wrong, in my eyes. That feature will be sufficient for me. I do suggest that you always keep the legality of all issues here in mind as you are incorporated in the United States and therefore must abide and will be held accountable by the laws that govern.

I appreciate your responsiveness on this issue; however, do not ignore the request to investigate matters of this nature. You may not feel that I have been harassed or that any law was broken based on the number of messages I received; however, the quantity has no bearing.

Raleigh, I take your "Guess What?" post as a threat. Can't we agree to
disagree?

I agree that you should not just look at pseudo legal issues like freedom of speech. The other side of that coin is libel and financial damage.I have not only read the last five hundred posts but most on the board.I have come to a totally different conclusion about this matter. Many have come to this board and have voiced negative conclusions and were either challenged in an open forum or their views were accepted. Some were very vicious and attacked people and were harashly treated.I believe you should go back and make copies of all his posts and give it to your legal counsel. You as a computer person and not a lawyer may be surprised at what a lawyer may tell you as to s i culpability in this situation since you were implored to restrict this individual. On another board a person appeared who tried to cause damage in the last few days and a corporate representative came on and threatened legal action. This person apologised and desisted.I am left with your poor response to this situation with two avenues.1-leave this board to you ,jean,v s,and dianne or 2-Fight this situation thrugh FRanklin telecom (they read this board)who in my not so humble opinion have been materially damaged over the last few weeks with unfounded and dastardly posts. If you think that his post which hinted of backhanded and illegal payoffs to a new p r firm is not defamation than you may wind up in deep legal yogurt. You have extremely limited knowledge by your posts of the financial markets and the sec. This company is now before nasdaq and it is a very sensitive time in the history of this company. My suggestion is for you to temporarily block him from the board until you and silicon investor seek legal advice. You were quite quick to temporarily stop me from posting in november because about 7 posts of mine were blank. This seemingly harmless act caused you to react withlightning speed until I had to explain to you what happened!!Seems you tolerate illegal actions faster than a computer malfunction. At this point you seem to have given illegality an open checkbook to reduce this thread to a meaningless exercise.you can respond to me through email. In addition,I took great offense to the language you used in your quotation.

Mr. Dryer: It has been a long day and it's late. I have just spent the last 1 1/2 hours reading through the most annoying collection of messages that I have ever had the displeasure of reading on your bulletin board or anyone else's; just to remind you there are other bulletin boards on the Internet. Out of all the disturbing messages I find yours to be the most offensive due to your lack of sensitivity to a majority of your customers relative to what Valuespec has done to the FTEL thread. The popularity of the thread speaks for itself and therefore it would seem to me that you should be interested in what has made it so popular. Considering your lack of response to my appeals, as well as the appeals of so many on this thread, to remove Valuespec from participation (because he makes no positive contribution and is highly disruptive), it is obvious that you haven't got a clue what makes this thread so popular. Therefore, please let me tell you. The thing that makes the FTEL thread so popular is that it has attracted some very talented and informed investors who have spent countless hours investigating the merits of this company and have been willing to share the information they have gathered on your bulletin board, irregardless of whether it was favorable toward Franklin or not. Over the years those who have posted as well as lurked on this thread, have gotten to know and appreciate the value of what is being shared as well as the people who are sharing their insights. In any case, the presence of these kind of people on your bulletin board is the main reason why you can now charge $200 for an SI membership, therefore I'm surprised at your insensitivity to their concerns and even more surprised at your total disregard for what they contribute to your product. Mr. Dryer you may know a lot about computers, but it is obvious you don't know squat about making wise business decisions. If your banker, who is financing your business, knew what you did on this thread today, he would slap your hand, wash your mouth with soap and tell you to apologize for sticking your foot in it. Although I would never attempt to speak for others that have contributed so much to this thread, I would be very surprised if we hear from many of them in the future. I hope we do. Do you?
