Milt: I am not sure it was peculiar..... At 12:32 ET a 699,000 share block went off at 3 3/8 on a 3/8 downtick. This was followed by a 580,000 shareblock at 3 1/2. Please note the MM's at the time had the bid and ask set at 3 5/8 and 3 3/4 respectively. Two institutions hold (held?) more than 699,000 - Forstmann Leff & Assoc with 2250K and Welch & Forbes as 903K. Very possible that one of these guys got tired and unloaded. I wonder who took them?
