Yes, 5 dogs . or The Menagerie When everyone is there are also two cats, both rescues, Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney. There are also two birds, Oberon and Titania (Obie and Nia). All 5 dogs are rescues and so are the two cats. Elton and Paul live with Alison and Elton loves her, they spoon. Paul however still thinks most dogs are terrors and hides for the most part. I have undertaken a back yard project to create a graveled run alongside the garage. I have to dig out dirt to get 4 or 5 inches of 3/4" crush gravel, a layer they won't dig through. . The kennel is large but Finn won't tolerate the puppies coming in there so they need their own space. I mentioned to ralph that my wife's herb garden was getting destroyed this summer, it is the pups digging. I am fencing everything off with a sturdy flexible cedar fence. The kids all think their dogs are trained, they do nice tricks for food but don't really listen. All the pups know my bark though because I am the one barking at Finn and he listens to me.. Sweetie is great with the puppies, they all like her and she likes getting included in the treats. Finn is always in the kennel while everyone else is out, they have tried letting him out without me there. That is why Meeka is terrified of Finn. So now they don't bother, he really doesn't listen to any other human being at all. I really thought long and hard about keeping Finn. What convinced me that was he would fail the temperament test at any shelter and likely be destroyed. I met the lady who took Finn's brother, Dozer, she returned him at 8 months, she was afraid of him. I am very careful with Finn, I really love him and he is like a big oaf, totally devoted to family. I make sure everyone understands that if we fail him he would be in trouble. He has never tried to escape, he only ever wants to go into the house and look for food. He likes earplugs, they are his favourite found food, drives Rocks mad when he finds hers and eats them.
