Money? The illusion of power? Maybe she's just part of the cult. They really are crazy. It's hard to believe just how nuts they are. You just have to keep reminding yourself that Nazis thought Hitler was a genius. We look at him now- we see a sad, screaming, racist nut- pretty much Trump, right? But Hitler captured the imagination of disgruntled Aryans who thought life Just Wasn't Fair. And we know how that ended. Luckily, the Germans were a bit more desperate than most Americans are- so maybe we can have a better ending. I'd say Happy Ending, but that means something a little different now.
