I agree. You just have to keep fighting it, and the response will be country specific. Australia had to shut down twice. They are in the Spring now, out of flu season, so is Brazil. Our response was very bad, especially in comparison with Asia, South Korea, Japan, even China all did very well. Even Canada did better than us, maybe because their PM caught Covid early on in the first wave and took it seriously. We did not get hospitals overwhelmed. If we do in the second wave, the death toll will rise dramatically.

Asian countries did not shut down, neither did Sweden. You will be looking at killing off a few million Americans or so, with pandemic response we did so far and overwhelmed hospitals. Hope we get the vaccine
