re CYMI, competition heating up?

One of the things I found interesting from the Fool artical I copied to here yesterday was the prospect of CYMI's clients organized effort to create a number two supplier, which may or may not hurt the bottom line down the road.

"Cymer should also see increased competition from Komatsu and Lambda-Physik. Cymer's customers are working with its competitors' lasers as
part of a sensible move to nail down a second supplier. "

BUT, with CYMI trading at 16x '98 earnings estimate, and the long range growth of DUV photolithography estimated at 30-40%, it does seem that CYMI is at VERY attractive valuations. I think the stock could triple from the current price of $15, as ALL the air is now out of the stock.

However, I get no signal that the trend is not still down, as yet. I keep watching, and waiting for that moment.

Speaking of "long term buys"... suprise! XCIT...

is up from under $10 one year ago to over $40 today.

A simple buy and hold would have gotten you 4x your investment. Who'd have thought a volitile little internet stock could do that?

My persoanal history with XCIT has been from $11 to $16 a year ago, and now $30 to 41. Sold it today.
