We moved out to the boonies (out of the Seattle burbs) in '14 and never looked back.
Wow. Time flies. Hard to believe it’s been six years. Having been there, I can attest you have a beautiful place.

What I find interesting is all the city folk out looking now for their place in the country. Anyone thinking about making the move, don’t delay. The Seattleites, Portlanders and Californians are sucking up supply and driving up prices.

People here have done well to make plans ahead of retirement

Something that should be kept in mind in building/buying a home is the possibility of disability that makes climbing stairs too hard. That means a downstairs should be an independent unit. And that hallways and doorways are wide enough.

As to bathrooms, whether there is a disabled person or not living there, bathroom doors should always swing outward. This is in case someone in there falls and they're lying near the door. You don't want to have to push the door in against them to get inside.
