I agree...since most of the bad news was absorbed by the price when Seagate released earnings, I believe that the stock should be up tomorrow.

However, I do not like the term "special charges" as its not a GAAP accounting term. Notice that they couldn't use "extraordinary" or "restructuring" because the charges they mention don't fall into any of those categories according to GAAP. Exiting a technology such as TFI is not the same as exiting a business segment, therefore, it cannot be considered a restructure. The press release was carefully worded to exclude these one-time charges as "special". Hopefully, the market will take well to the fact that these charges are one-time.
