Putting things out on the Internet has always felt weird for me – with my own and readers (limited) anonymity being different from when I wrote an alternative newspaper column using my real name. You may remember the famous quote: “On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog .”
In any case, it helps to get feedback. And, of course, my main motivation is that a worthwhile charity gets a few bucks as a result of the Contest.

I think this board is quiet because we're all a little shell-shocked this year.

Yes, biotech is an industry that can save lives, and it's fun to try and sort the wheat from the chaff, but it's gotten a little too real to treat as a game.
