<<He replied, "I always sold too soon!" :-)>>
Wasn't it Joe Kennedy who said that? Actually, I think he said he bought too late and sold too soon.

OT: quotes about "too soon"

<<Talking about "too soon", once a rich man was asked how come he made so much money in the stock-market. He replied, "I always sold too soon!" :-)>>

Joseph Kennedy said:" don't hold out for top dollar", which is the quote one of the Kennedy's gave last week when announcing the family's sale of the Merchandise Mart as well as other real estate assets.

The other one I've always heard is " never be afraid to take your profits and after doing so don't look back." The other one I've been told more than once is "sell your losers and let your winners run" which is often the opposite of what I read here on many threads(not this one in particular)
Professional traders will dump a loser quick, investors often hold on all the way down. C'est moi!
