The following is taken from an article posted on the Cisco thread.
Would an Osicom acquisition help them achieve this? Is the IQX-200 a product that would help with this? Maybe someone knowledgeable can comment on this.

Chambers told Dow Jones he expects the company to become the
industry's No. 1 supplier in a key data communications product category - remote access concentrators - by year-end.

Thanks,
Joe

Eric- I heard a similar test result as follows.

They hooked the Gigamux up with 1 channel operating at 2.5 gps. They came back 10 days later and found that all the information was sent error free!! They ran it over about a 25 mile stretch. 2.5GPS would be a total of 216,000,000,000,000 bits per day. Then, get the total, multiply that number by 10 days to get the total bits sent error free.

Pretty impressive.

>>"We have successfully multiplexed 16 OC-48 channels over a 100KM fiber optic ring in Stocton and we have a mean Bit Error Rate of 10 to the minus 14." <<<
if this information is true, that's really impressive, Data transferring with a Bit Error Rate of 10 to (-9) is already a very high standard link. 10 to (-14) is beyond many testing equipment's resolution.

Re: Low Error Rate on GigaMux --- I believe it. I had a brief conversation with Sharon Chadra and Xin Ching at the shareholder's meeting, and both were very excited about low error rates for GigaMux's in beta testing. I've been waiting for this information to hit the street in authenticated form --- looks like it's about to happen.
