Doren, The Merced will be a watershed and will allow for Apple and others to take advantage of the Wintel confusion. However I think Intel will plan a path for others who want to use x86 legacy code in some manner. It may be a slow way, like a virtual pentium II, but the merced will have the speed to avoid seams.
