Jim, I think you may have misunderstood the article. I believe that what it means is that Linda Tripp was the cooperating witness, which fits everything we know about what has happened. I also think that Tripp's most recent statement, just released and kindly pasted here by Terrence, is very interesting. It may in some ways be self serving, but does point out fairly logically and a little convincingly the situation Tripp found herself in, from her perspective. Tripp is not really an attractive woman (although she looks better with her hair pulled back), and I think there may have been an effort to villify her from the Clinton camp.
