Well, your post showed how bad it is.

I think people are more attentive than usual because Trump has scared them and also let the cat out of the bag with his hubris.

And people are watching more news, partly from self isolation and partly from iphones.

It is terrifying to think that same supreme court will be even stronger and more corrupt going forward, for how many years.

And there is no remedy.

80 cases decided 5/4 and every one in favor of the donors backing the pubs.

Pure bribery and collusion..

They are ridiculous. They can't tell you how they know what people in the late 18th century were thinking when they ratified the Constitution. They mostly just make it up so that it miraculously becomes what they themselves want.

Agreed. Of all the ridiculous justifications for textualists (whatever), this is the least defensible. No one knows and no one can know what was in the mind of the "public" in the late 18th century. It's arguable that the minds of the legislators and/or framers, authors of legislation are knowable. But it's at least arguable.
