the biggest reason for CSCO to buy asnd, i.e. so LU won't Gerard, that's the first sensible reason I've heard...and a VERY interesting perspective. However, I still can't see it. It would be an expensive defense....but given the collision course perhaps it's less expensive than competing against a LU/ASND combination. Food for thought. Thanks! As for ASND's new products... I'm sure CSCO, BAY, COMS, LU, NT and others aren't sitting on their hands. They'll be delivering new products as well. This is what makes this industry great. In the end however the company that wins will be the one that delivers on the marketing side of the house. Product alone won't be enough. It should be an interesting year 'eh! Gary
