the S&P has replaced the global gold standard.>>> Hadn't thought of it that way, but U may be right. It seems to have in some way replaced the Dow as the chart to watch. Maybe it is the diversification factor and a lot of people are using SPY as an investment vehicle. Think I gave up on Calf. Damn if i'm going to get up at 5:30 to start paying attention to the market. Flying down to west coast of Florida in a few weeks to look around. And the Mkt opens at a intelligent hour. St.Louis sucks. A friend ofmine got a ticket for a rolling stop at a stop sign and got chewed out by some jerk. I started paying attention and have noticed cops hiding at half the stop signs in the city lately. I guess they got nothing better to do. I saw a documentary on Sen. Joe McCarthy from the 50's theother night. Ken Starr seems to be going down the same path. "1984" here we come. Gov't intrusion is getting down right scary. They nailed some guy in town for trying to pick up a prostitute. They kept (stole) his car. The problem was it was his wife's car in her name. No big deal, keep it anyway. My problem with the city Bldg inspectors. They all lied, and in court the city attorney lied, and was just plain nasty. Thank God I got a judge who didn't go along with the act. I was prepared to take them to trial. Do I miss all my RE. Like I miss another hole in the head.
