Trump administration rejects California request for wildfire disaster assistance
By Morgan Gstalter - 10/16/20 08:38 AM EDT

California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) office said the Trump administration rejected the state’s request for a disaster declaration following six wildfires that tore through the state earlier this year, including the largest single blaze in the state’s history.

"The request for a Major Presidential Disaster Declaration for early September fires has been denied by the federal administration," Brian Ferguson, a spokesperson for the Governor's Office of Emergency Services, told CNN.

White House spokesman Judd Deere told The Hill that California’s submission was “was not supported by the relevant data” states must provide to be considered for a disaster declaration, adding that the president’s decision concurred with that of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) administrator.

<<<<<show us some of those "values" that are "different" and "good".>>>>>

I'm not excusing racism - ever - for a second. It is a hard nut to crack though. We have been at it since 1865 and we do not seem to have made much progress. Breaking windows of innocent business owners and tagging every single government structure as you defy the law and march is not going to change racism. It is only going to promote it - to enforce in people the reason they have these deep seated views.

Part of the reason the orange guy won was because of the huge influx of immigrants. Legal and illegal. Hard working people seeing their life and community changed. Their values are hard work, church, and family. If a man works extremely hard for his family and goes to church on Sunday and believes in his God and then devotes the rest of his time and effort towards his family ............................and votes for trump ..........does that mean his values are somehow wrong?

If anyone is still in bed with the R's - they must have gone over the wall of sanity. Where are these supposedly higher level of virtues and moral accountability that they used to crow about? Embodied by the interloper in the White House and mass killer ?

The apologists took turns supplying lube to Dear Leader as the Tangerine Titanic sank and they tolerated him telling everyone the boat wasn't sinking, thereby tacitly dismissing his incompetence, treason and general criminality as indications of "Democratic Hoaxes".

The R's have a permanent branding problem when they backed sHitler. Speaking up in the weeks before the election will not wash that stinking orange color off - it is permanent and these turd lovers will be more rare than vocal Harding supporters were in the 1960s. They swallowed and sucked it all up and "moderates" and "independents" that put this monster in the White House should just STFU for about 8 years. Four to wipe down the country and another four to hopefully recover.
