It's not belief Koan. It's facts. I really do believe in fact based reality. I really do look things up. I shall believe in what I look up and find to be true. You, on the other hand, seem to be operating on a plane of pure belief. Which you can, of course, do- but you really can't expect other people to give it the same credence as, say, facts. Certainly sayings are facts- we can see when they arose, we can follow their usage.

You criticize the repturds for their absolute ignorance and sheer folly as they ignore settled facts. Here's your chance to eschew that lifestyle. You made an error. You didn't think you did, but you did. Just admit it and move on.

I made an error a few weeks ago when teaching Haiku. My students fact check me in real time which I find rather adorable- and even though I said orange is one syllable, it turns out some fiends pronounce it with two! Amazing (and rather horrible) I know- but it's right there in black and white. So you know what I did? I thanked that young man for teaching me something new. OR-ANGE (Shudder)

There's a lesson there.
