NTII doesn't have to cut a deal with a pharmaceutical company by tommorrow. NTII needs to find capital by tommorrow. I'd be very surprised if NASDAQ would have allowed the last extension if they didn't have pretty good assurance that the capital is there pending the neuropathic pain trial results. Given the promising nature of the outcome, IMHO the capital will be forthcomming probably in the form of bridge loans or a private placement.

I hope NTII doesn't rush into a marketing partnership. Memantine is quite valuable and if they have to rush then they may have to give away too much of its value to a prospective partner. They need to find a partner to fund the Phase III trial. So, finding one quickly would be quite advantageous. But, hopefully not at the expense of giving away memantines value. Freiman is extreamly well connected in the Pharmaceutical industry. I suspect that there is a partner already waiting in the wings. I have to believe that the size of the diabetic neuropathy market combined with the ease and relatively low cost of a Phase III trial would have a number of potential partners drooling. We should find out soon.

BTW: I completely agree with your points regarding the .10 alpha level. Very well said and accurate!

Dear NeuroInvestment:

Apache Indian asks a good question - "Somebody scare me with that patents thing please !! Could any pharma company produce memantine based drug for diabetes without partenering with NTI ? "

Can you offer any insight on this?
Thanks
Sam
