When they found a voice to represent them - they hitched their wagon to that leader. They know if - when - things swing back, their concerns will be ignored again. The concerns of rural America. B. Clinton understood this as did Obama. They did not ignore the cow growing states. Hillary either didn't understand or thought they wouldn't make a difference. If you were named queen for a day, all these rural cow states would never have a voice in government again - not at the national level. That is why it is set up the way it is. It's not a mistake and it is not going to ever change.
