And I admitted ignorance because neither you nor I know definitively what kinds of security checks candidates undergo.

It is up to the party. And the media, There is no check by government agencies. Given your admitted ignorance that you seem to freely project on others, consider yourself clued in.

And I assume that once a President is elected, security checks are unnecessary because of his constitutional status.

Bingo.

The correct question I think you meant to ask is the status of whatever security check, if any, Trump underwent as a candidate, not as a president.

I don't know the answer to that, and I assume you don't either.

It is pretty obvious he didn't undergo any security check. So clue number 2.

You need to watch that tendency to project.

And that is why is I said "good question" when it came to Biden, rather than dissemble about something I know nothing about.

And then proceeded to dissemble. Good job.
