Phil - well stated. The interesting thing I've been thinking about is the following: Last time S3 was at these levels was about Sept. 1994. Is S3 in better shape now than then? S3 is well positioned to recover if their next generation graphics product are well received. Yep, it's highly dependent on both management and engineering, but without being an expert I'd say the upside outweighs the downside at this point, i.e. we'll see 7.5 before 2.5.

Good post, Phil, without the usual pie-in-the-sky B.S. A little historical perspective helps....especially after getting so much hysterical perspective.

I didn't listen to all of the CC but when asked about the future product development, I thought Terry was appropriately closed-mouth about it. I think that any plan for dealing with the competition is tied directly to whatever product they are developing or about to develop and since there are lots of competitors and only so much that can be done on a chip (re: the Cirrus dealie), one would not want to give away one's hand. Of course, he declined to even provide a name for the new product...."...the Emperor's not wearing any clothes!!!"

George, I'm going to have to re-evaluate. You actually have discussions with DAMIEN?

Great day for you stock today! Congrats! Strong volume and good prints.

The news in DJ looks old, though, so be careful. Might be a reasonable play back to 8. Would like to see some indication from CO. that profitability is coming back.

Wonder if any larger competitors to INTC is like for a CHPS of their own.

Congrats again and good luck to ALL!
