A wide spread with most of the action going at the ask is great for long investors. I like to see short-term traders discouraged by wide spreads. It is rough to get people to buy in, but if they really believe in the stock -- they will in spite of the spread. I bounced around the various web sites that fall under DCI and some are good, others... not-so-good. Would be nice if all were more similar -- a single corporate flavor, if you will. The travel agent site was very weak -- I would have bought a plane ticket from them yesterday if I could have done it through the site (and the price was fair!), for example. Just some thoughts.
