TJ, Elon Musk tries very hard to sell his company as a high tech company and to date he succeeded.

1. Batteries - he is way behind in the technology and applications there are other companies much more advanced but with less super-noise.

2. He is not a software company even if he uses AI in his products or the future "self-driving car" same as in batteries this field is very crowded.

3. His rocketing business - I have no expertise to judge

4. With all the above and his overinflated ego he is still a electric car company and for example compare prices between and electric Dacia Spring car made in Romania cleantechnica.com and the cheapest Tesla

5. Dacia Spring will cost consumers less than $13,000, and that includes room for 4 passengers, 6 airbags, LED headlights, and automatic emergency braking. It also comes with an onboard 30 kW charger that can replenish the battery to an 80% state of charge in about an hour
