Game Changers convinced me to change my diet...

I watched the video with interest but something seemed off. I later realized that it featured all primo athletes. Vegetarianism is inefficient. It takes a lot of rabbit food and ox food to get nutrients, particularly protein. If you're a pro athlete or otherwise working out all the time you can burn off the calories. For regular folk, the overhead of all those carbs adds weight, not strength and proficiency.

Way back zoo keepers used to try and feed gorillas a high meat diet because they were convinced that as a Great Ape and being close to humans they must surely need a lot of meat.

Oops, turns out they are nearly 100% vegan! Some of them like insects too. Once the zoo keepers figured out the correct diet, their captives got a lot healthier.

What is even more fascinating to me it that the % of meat in Chimp diets varies from one group to another, i.e. its a learned trait! Chimps are mostly vegetarian, but some groups have much higher meat consumption than others. Meat consumption is typically only a few % of their total diet.
