TJ please inform Bloomberg (BNEF) and Wood Mackenzie Ltd. that already in 1989 I proposed Lithium batteries for commercial use in an effort to convert tactical communication gear batteries used in SINCGARS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SINCGARS)

The idea was instead the bulky roll-up structure used also in TESLA, a flat pouch batteries structure hidden behind the portable/laptop computer screen easy to pull out or insert (almost the size of the screen mm tick). Same can be applied in busses and certain cars, but with more robust structure.Due to lower voltage and similar storage capacity/volume the electronics would be also cheaper. Charging will have its prolems due to the higher currents/second
The evidence is for all to see at slideshare.net

Later I called this structure - towel size batteries with ample surface to dissipate the heat from charging and discharging the battery.

Same concept of big pouche towel size batteries where presented also in my presentation at international conferences explaining that a roll-up battery is much more prone to self-heating and being flammable due to lack of heat dissipation by convection on spread out surfaces. Other suggestions where using thin alumina mesh as a separator, this concept was stolen after my stupid disclosure of details to some one I trusted, within few months by Tel Aviv University Chemistry Faculty dealing with batteries developments used my disclosure and proposal which was publicized as their own in academic articles.

The deal did not go trough because the square heads from Israel managing TADIRAN at the time. Tadiran is now a subsidiary of Elbit. The Battery Div. was sold to a French battery maker.

At OPCO, mainly junior bankers where skeptical of my proposal including the person signing the letter. The only real supporters where a senior managing director at OPCO and a senior partner at, the by now defunct CPA firm, Arthur Andersen based on their trust in me and my knowledge.

Foam and towel size Li-Ion structure were also presented in 2016 - in this power-point presentation at slideshare.net at slide 13 to 19

Bottom line: Do not trust ANY Israeli of today, for a dime they cheat steal and you name it.

Most hard work in R&D is done in E. Europe (Romania Bulgaria Hungary etc.,), Ukraine and parts of Russia and packaged and sold as Israeli development worldwide.

Original R&D of start ups in Israel are far and in between except what is also stolen from the IDF or Universities research centers if directly or bought for pennies.
