They have seen physical damage from scans in a high percentage of covid sufferers. Maybe most is reversible in younger people. Look at the tennis player Djokovich. He had it recently. But still reached the final of French Open, although lost badly in the final. And lost his cool when he was down in US Open and got disqualified. Otherwise, still the number 1 player. So the effect could be slight for younger healthier people and won't show up until trying peak capacity.

Let us see how it affects Christiano Ronaldo's performance after he plays again.
