"Also might be worthwhile to post a 1998 timeline for milestones and expected news (has this been done yet?)"

<<Also might be worthwhile to post a 1998 timeline for milestones and expected news (has this been done yet?)>>

It is my recolection that an expected 1998 product development schedule has previously been posted. It is possible that milestone payments made during the course of the year may be tied to other events, as well. From memory:

End of January:
-Possible Leptin announcement

Q1:
- NDA for topical Panretin for Kaposi's Sarcoma
- Phase II resuls to be released for Panretin oral

Q3/Q4:
- NDA for Targretin oral for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma
- Expected approval for topical Panretin

Is there anything that I have omited?

<< It might be worthwhile to factor in past performance of LGND in the 1st half of '96 and '97 (spring and summer historically are not good times for biotechs -- however, past performance, is no guarantee, so '98 could be different). >>

LGND's stock rallied from $11 to $20 from March 96 thru May 96; and also rallied from $9 to $14 1/2 from May 97 thru Jun 97.

Fidelity's FBIOX "biotech" mutual fund also had a nice rally from May 97 thru July 97.

That's two years in a row, in which Ligand has rallied during the 1st half of a year. Which historical year(s) are you looking at? And, what kind of sophisticated analysis tools are you using to reach your conclusion?
