Qian the bomb dada may have been helped by occasional conversations w/ one Joan Hinton atomicheritage.org for hints of atomic geewhizbang. Joan was likely an antifa, etc etc and was in effect very helpfully pushed away by Team USA to China. Just a few people made a huge difference under circumstance where Team China had no resources, no laboratories worth mentioning, and no matching teams to work w/ the scientists, and was under embargo whilst encircled by de facto direct and proxy attacks by ways Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, India and Russia. And today folks are apparently advocating ring-fencing / embargoing Team China, but counting out the Russian and Ukrainian brains working in China, and are also pushing thousands of ethnic Chinese scientists and engineers and billions of dollars of IPO money from America to China. Who can know, maybe the new-old strategy can work out better, faster, and more robust. Can we blame Team China for the current posture of strategic-endurance? Just suffering the blows, taunts, etc etc etc and hoping current trends continue, and the busily working folks backing the bipartisan Neo-people on Capitol Hill are not interrupted. As far as Team China is concerned I reckon the Team is not bothered by either a Trump or a Biden win, for the game remains the same just changing players. Would guess Trump tends to accelerate happenings, and others may dilly-dally. The list of world-class ethnic Chinese (and at least a few Arabian / Persian) science researchers pushed out of America since Pompeo / Navarro & co went to work is absolutely astounding, fantastic, unbelievable, and longer term consequences should be dramatic. Putting wastrels in charge inevitably results in wastrelism inexorably running wild, predictably. In the meantime Hong Kong has large Russian Ukrainian communities, two of whom tutor the Jack in piano and chess, at half the price of less qualified locals. My wife wired into the community given her music-education charity work, and gets contacted by other parents for “oh, can you recommend a tutor like Jack’s for ... math, science, history, ... whatever”. Many Russian Ukrainians working at HK University and other local colleges. The supposed freedom fighters trying to escape to Taiwan in order to escape prosecution for setting fires and hurting people? Let them go in peace by commercial flights, I say, so that they do not cross Team China waters in boats in the middle of the night, as capture in China waters is less pleasant than going to jail in HK.
