A little off topic.

Actually, referring to MSFT's only competition is the DOJ, that's probably what makes it the nearest thing to a no lose investment. If MSFT continues to dominate, its shares go through the roof. If the DOJ continues to investigate, it will eventually do one of two things. It will either limit MSFT's investments in other enterprises, but this leaves MSFT with a ton of cash and it can continue to dominate its core areas. Or it can break them up, in which case shareholders will recieve equal shares in the off-spring companies. This is the big payoff scenario as it would be a repeat of the Standard Oil breakup at the turn of the century. That probably tripled Rockefellers worth.
It is possible that the Sun lawsuit could be the catalist that sets this off. Just hypothetical conversation.
