TO ALL: I have a contact at a major regional brokerage house who has contacted the FRB directly. (Her firm does occaisionally allow margin on FRB-approved securities that have yet to achieve NMS status.) The word from the FRB, at 4:30pm yesterday afternoon, was that TPRO is NOT approved for marginability. As a caveat, there is always a possibility that this is a miscommunication, but it doesn't seem likely. Just wanting to watch out for those who may be in Fed call territory if this proves true. Check it out.
