Re: <<when will the shares be exchanged>>

Well, the shareholders have to receive the proxy, vote to approve the deal, and then they will get the shares. One thing at a time. The original announcement indicated only that the whole deal was expected to be completed "in the second quarter."

BTW, when DEC closed down slightly on Wednesday, it ended a string of 11 consecutive daily gains. The gain in the 11 days was 60.5% from the close on Friday 9th.

So where do we go from here? CPQ's stock price has been stalled around 30, and though it may remain there for a couple of weeks, I believe that its next move will be to the upper 30's. I think we can get another 5 to 10 points out of DEC before it stops trading.

OK, OK no one's going to get excited about what I think, but its just my way of saying that I am optimistic and am holding until the deal closes. Then I will probably hold on to the new stock to see whether Eckhard Pfeiffer can bring about the merger without problems, and help the DEC portion of the company achieve its 7% profit margin goal.

Excuse my ramblings, Charlie.
