Introspection always makes one better at understanding oneself. Metacognition is where the interesting work you do on yourself lies- I think (pun intended). It doesn't matter that one label doesn't fit- you can be many labels at different times- and no person is the same person they were 10 years ago. Your cells change. Your ideas change. The world changes. Life is change- but if you think about how you think it will affect how you change.

You need not be afraid of labels- they don't have to limit or "define" you- they merely capture you in an instant, like a snapshot. "This is who I was for this instant"- that sort of thing. When I took calculus and discovered integration I realized that was my life- many slices integrated into a whole- but it is, in reality, slices of time (of life). :-)
