QQQs head lower after hours as Apple and Amazon slip post-earnings
Oct. 29, 2020 5:11 PM ET|About: Invesco QQQ ETF (QQQ)|By: Stephen Alpher, SA News Editor

A near-5% post-earnings selloff in Apple after the close is helping the Nasdaq 100 ( COMP) to a 0.75% decline. The number two-weighted name in that index is Amazon, and it's down 1.4% after reporting its quarter. Not nearly as heavily-weighted, but still in the index, Activision Blizzard is down 5.5% after its earnings.

Also reporting this afternoon from mega-cap tech were Google and Facebook - Google is up 8% and Facebook is marginally in the green.

The post-close decline combined with a sizable move lower in the last hour of regular trade has the Nasdaq 100 (NASDAQ: QQQ) at 11,244, down nearly 2% from the day's high.
