As for the label "conservative", I would consider myself very conservative when it comes to my work history and the 'pulling up by own bootstraps" metaphor... definitely not a "fortunate son" here as the term seems to imply... raised by a single mom and went to work right out of High School... but I do consider myself fortunate in many ways... some of it may just be luck... but one thing I did was always saved my money, whatever job I had... from early on I wanted to invest in real estate, not as a get rich quick notion, but as an investment to 20 or so years down the road I didn't have to work for "the man"... also, the stock market didn't treat me badly

But it wasn't until I was almost 40 yrs old that I finally splurged on a vehicle that was not a Toyota pick-up truck, and I'm not talking about the big ones they have today that are basically luxury vehicles... how's that for conservative?

Of course conservatives like yourself vote "Liberal" because that's the name of the conservative party in Canada.
