I have been watching two small wireless backbone broadband 5G transmission companies; Ceragon Networks Ltd (CRNT) (uses micro-wave ) and Cambium Networks Corp (CMBM)( uses RF). They supply Enterprise customers direct 5G wireless to Tower connection equipment. Useful when a fiber install is not practical. CRNT also specializes in linking Tower to 'Fibre' using a wireless micro-wave connection.

CRNT's product has more foreign customers (like India) where there are more cell towers not connected by fibre but there is still a huge demand for cell phone wireless coverage.

I assume they have these 5G chips/boards that need testing. Components may already be tested at the manufacturer but I suspect there is fine tuning and tests when assembled and then again when installed in the field.

Would a COHU and/or TER produce the test equipment or are they too small or may use one off custom testers. What about in the field?

I held a position in Ceragon Networks Ltd (CRNT) but gave up, however Cambium Networks Corp (CMBM) has gained a lot of traction in the last 60 days w/ their wireless 5G RF products.

Maybe the strategy is to hold a small basket of these players rather than trying to guess which one company will hit the home run.
