What worked and what didn’t

What worked was EARLY aggressive intervention ..

See

China
Japan
Taiwan
South Korea
Vietnam
New Zeeland

Anyone that didn't jump ahead of this at the very beginning ..
Has had very mixed results with respect to mitigation and containment ..

The Swedes opted to try the short duration, high spike approach
reasoning that they would take a short term economic hit and still
have the ability to manage the initial surge in cases ..

Tis too late now for either of those approaches ..
Should Trump lose ( and leave ) that means at least 80 days before any
incoming administration led strategy can be formulated and initiated ..

So, we're looking at ~320,000 total fatalities from CV-19 and
80,000 to 120,000 daily new confirmed cases at that point ..

Since we've proven to be so inept at this
I'm beginning to believe we're going to find out if that 2-2.5 million
"cost" in lives to attain "herd" immunity is realistic ..
