Isn't it curious that native English speakers have an intuitive understanding of what is counter-intuitive about the use of language? Maybe it contributes to our being comparatively slow speakers regardless of what language we are using.

The example at the link - The spotted young playful five dogs ran and jumped all over the park. sounds seriously wrong but I'm not sure that it really needs to be in the strict order that post lays out. "Five young playful spotted dogs sounds" ok to me as does "five playful young spotted dogs". Maybe a couple of other orders as well, but having "five" anywhere but first makes the whole thing sound weird. Also its sounds worse if spotted is not at last of 2nd to last. "Five spotted young playful dogs" or "Five spotted playful young dogs" seems worse than "five playful spotted young dogs".
