well the scammers that brought us 2008 stole a lot more and did a lot more damage and suffered what ? That's why I said no reason not to implement these things ... There will always be scammers... just keep on monitoring and correcting.. Our PM who surely is not my favourite guy put in the CERB (Canadian Emergency Response Benefit) Sure some are scamming ... but he could not IMO let those in true need fall through the cracks.. so I think his response was appropriate. Besides it will come out in the income tax wash anyway.. and Employment Insurance.. so egregious cases for sure will be found out for the most part... and most regular folks that got too ,much will end up paying it back in dribs and drabs.. In this case I think our C party made far too much ado about nada,, It had to be done... all a question of balance.. letting hardworking honest folks suffer for scammers is no way to run a country...
