...and all that JAZ

Yesterday I had the odious task of swapping out a Power Macintosh 9500/132 for a G3. Ugh. However, it went quite smoothly. First I repartioned the G3's hard drive so it had the same number of volumes as the PowerPC, then I loaded MacOS 8.0, then upgraded to MacOS 8.1, then I plugged in a new JAZ unti to the G3. -- it came with ZIP built-in of course. All the software that came with the ZIP and JAZ included platters was only Windows! Did that matter? NO, because every Mac now manufactured has the Iomega Driver built-in -- whether it has a ZIP or not. After this I just downloaded the PowerPC a volume at a time onto the JAZ and uploaded the stuff on to the G3. Painless and it worked. The G3 running under MacOS 8.1 is definitely faster than a speeding bullet. It fair zzzzzzzzzzzips along.
