TRQ has a money problem, no simple solution.

FCX is a better copper and gold company.

Haven't followed TRQ closely since completing my first pass at it...

The details aren't the issue... although geology they got wrong is a root cause in exacerbation of everything.

A re-do of the deal with the government ? A new plan for how to mine given the errors made ? Both of those massively disrupting the deal needed to fund it all...

But, the disconnect between TRQ's legitimate interest and Rio's self dealing... is another category of issue.

It's one that IMO leaves essentially zero potential for smiley faces and soft landings... given my prior experience with similar situations. It's not the rocks, and not the money... its the egos in conflict with simple fairness... and the requirement to avoid accountability for past errors amplifies the egos...

I did think it a good buy at the lows for a bounce... but, a chart trade not a hold as it emerged from the worst of the technical problems without resolving conflicts in ownership and control.

I'll bet with Henry going forward... Rio just too big to accept being required to succeed...

had simplified my book, and liquidated / closed all (except the fun fun fun NAK gambit) distracting and potentially fragile wagers and swept cleared resources into anti-fragile GBTC

I like simplicity going forward and do not wish to deal w/ unnecessary partnership, governance, sovereignty, geopolitical, domestic political issues to extent possible

So, that means short TSLA, safely, and long DRD, long gold (physical / paper), and bitcoins (GBTC), and accumulate SBSW, NIO, and opportunistic long MJ, XOM, RIO, BBL, opportunistic short ZM, until I break my own rules
