Re -- Amd is selling all he K6 they can make to IBM and CPQ!

The key is how many are they making. They may be making very very few (hundreds of thousands) at their Fab 25.
AMD could also be hiding this fact by using the "strategic customers" excuse.

-- Fab 25 is in transition to .25u and so equipment is being shared between .35u and .25u. While .25u is being debugged and tested (negligble production from .25).

-- CPQ and others (rumors about the deal with AMD) has taken one time consignment (like MediaGX) of 250 mil chips last Q.

-- Jerry's not providing any guidance as to the minimum number of chips to be produced (This is indeed ominous, because Jerry who's optimistic scenario is "not knowing" and "high risk", it implies it won't happen this Q.

Its really amazing, that people are still buying this stock. I feel sorry for the old women/innocent buyers who are going to lose a lot of money by being conned into buying AMD, by brokers from DLJ who paint an extremely positive image of AMD.
