Trump was no friend for Canada and in the case of Canada arresting Meng Wanzhou on behalf of the US his comments of when she is extradited back to the US that he would use her as a trade bargaining chip was absolutely stunningly stupid. Canada is now in a real bind with two innocent Canadians rotting in a Chinese jail as retaliation. But Canada does not take Trump as America and hopefully now that he is gone both countries will get back to working together. That was quite the trip. You would have passed the small town where I live now (a few hours by car ) just S/W of Banff. Not many people take the time and effort to do that major of a trip and if they do it is mostly by car. I have travelled in the NE US but not often and many years ago but I still (pre Covid) travel lots on the US west coast. I have many friends especially in the Bellingham area where I participated in their world class Ski to Sea event for many years. All my trips have been with no issues and I have always been treated well. Other then the money and Canada being on the metric system our ways of living matched really well. All the best to the US now and that the Covid issue gets properly addressed, That fairness and trust is put back into the system.
